Ya know I've eaten sushi for a good 12 years now and I can distinguish good sushi from bad sushi and this place definitely has some great sushi! It can be a challenge finding places that serve the freshest sushi in my opinion when you're in Texas but this place definitely delivers! My favorite sushi to get is the Kawas roll, it comes with spicy tuna and salmon which is amazing! Though I always opt to have the jalapeños taken out as I prefer to get more seafood taste than jalapeño taste. As far as East Texas and Tyler TX goes this place would be my first go to spot for sushi. I need to come back and try to sit for the hibachi!
I ate here yesterday and had a Yoshi sushi roll. Also had jalapeno popper for appetizer. Pretty good! Nice atmosphere, looks real nice inside. Good service!
Kung Pao Chicken Spicy Jalapeño Chicken Fried rice Salad Egg drop soup Hot and Sour soup We have always enjoyed our meal at Kawas. Portions are large, you will need a to go box. There is always a crowd. I would recommend going during the non peak hours. They are really not any different than any other restaurant in 2021, when it comes to staffing.
